The first DLC for Diablo IV will introduce an entirely new class

During the BlizzCon opening ceremony, developers from Blizzard Entertainment's "Team 5" announced the next chapter in the Diablo IV storyline. As Tiffany Wat, the Production Director, revealed, the team has been hard at work on the first expansion for the Action RPG (ARPG).

The expansion is titled "Vessel of Hatred." It will continue the dark narrative that began in the base game and shed light on the fate of Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred. It seems that the Lord of Hatred has his own plans for the future of Sanctuary. To uncover his scheme, players will venture into a new region known as "Nahantu" by the locals. Additionally, the developers will introduce more adversaries and an entirely new class, which has not been seen in previous titles in the series.

"Vessel of Hatred" is set to be released in the second half of 2024, with more details about the expansion to be revealed in the summer of 2024.

Blizzard also shared their holiday plans. From December 12th, for three weeks, Diablo IV will host a seasonal event called the "Winter Withering Festival." The event description encourages players to "explore the snowy and eerie winter expanses of the Shattered Peaks and try to find the mysterious creature in the red cloak!"
